1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Orchestrated Biosciences (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you visit orchestrated.bio and use our services.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide: When you contact us via email, we collect your email address and the content of your message. When you request a Scopeify review, we collect the contact details you enter together with the project question and the generated brief. When you book a call, we receive the details you enter in the booking form. When you use our products, we may collect account information and usage data necessary to provide the service.

Automatically collected information: We may collect standard web analytics data including IP addresses, browser type, referring pages, pages visited, and time spent on pages. This data is collected through standard server logs and analytics tools.

3. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

• Respond to your inquiries and communications.
• Provide, maintain, and improve our products and services.
• Analyze website usage to improve user experience.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Scopeify browser data inspection

Scopeify (our project-scoping tool) can inspect files you select in your browser to help assess project feasibility. The selected files are not uploaded to Orchestrated Biosciences. File parsing happens in your browser.

Scopeify sends a bounded structural summary to our backend. This can include file names, extensions, file sizes, sheet names, column headings, inferred data types and roles, row and column counts, missingness counts, and validation or risk flags. It does not send table cell values, unique-value examples, raw sequence data, or the selected files themselves.

Do not submit protected health information, patient identifiers, confidential study identifiers, or secrets in file names, column headings, project questions, or notes. Scopeify is a preliminary scoping tool and is not a secure data-transfer service.

5. Scopeify processing and retention

We use the submitted project question, notes, requested outputs, structural data summary, and public archive results to prepare project feedback, a preliminary Statement of Work, and a dataset inventory. Temporary Scopeify job records are retained for up to two hours for status recovery and are then deleted. They are not the system of record for a consulting engagement.

If you request a human review, we collect your name, work email, and optional organization, together with the project question and generated brief, and keep them for up to 90 days for review and follow-up.

Public archive query terms are sent to services operated by NCBI, Europe PMC, EMBL-EBI, CNCB, and CNGB as needed for the selected search. A bounded project summary may be sent through OpenRouter to the configured language model to draft the Statement of Work. Those providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers who help operate our website and services, subject to confidentiality agreements. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

7. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Third-party services

We rely on these third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

• GitHub Pages for website hosting.
• Cloudflare for secure routing, abuse protection, and cookieless page-view analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
• OpenRouter and the configured language-model provider for bounded Scopeify drafting requests.
• NCBI, Europe PMC, EMBL-EBI, CNCB, and CNGB for public literature and dataset searches.
• Google Calendar appointment scheduling when you book a call.
• Google Analytics 4 for website analytics. It may collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate location. Google may set cookies to distinguish users. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

9. Cookies

Our website uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique users and track sessions. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. We do not use cross-site tracking or advertising cookies. You can opt out by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by declining cookies when prompted.
